Their whole wedding vision was centered around a golden hour ferry ride
from DUMBO to Williamsburg. As you can imagine, when rain was showing it would not budge on the forecast, nerves rose, & fear set in that all the images would lack any of the warmth they really wanted for their photos. When I delivered Hilary & John their final gallery two months later, though, I received this text.
“We cannot thank you enough Carissa seriously you were such a joy to work with and such a pro. While this obviously wasn’t the beautiful sunny day we had planned, your flexibility and ability to pivot from the plan so seamlessly was SO appreciated.
I spent a few weeks afterwards with mixed feelings about the day because of the weather, but knowing that we could trust that your photos would be spectacular helped me feel so much better. They’re gorgeous!!!!”
I am so thankful to provide peace to clients, no matter the circumstances of their wedding. Here’s a little peak into their day, & hopefully you too can be rest assured that, no matter the weather, your wedding day will be beautiful.
With a clear umbrella in hand,
It was time for their first look the midst of DUMBO’s best greenery.
After exploring the streets,
It was time to take refuge underneath the Manhattan Bridge for an intimate ceremony full of moments with parents, a kind officiant friend, & heartfelt vows.
Once they had their recessional kiss,
they led the braver of their guest list of 60 to the ferry, deciding to commit to the original vision they set forth. Throughout the ferry, we captured portraits & moments of joy despite the unfortunate weather.
As the travel journey came to an end,
It was time for everyone to take a load off, enjoy the signature cocktails sponsored by Hilary & John’s dogs, & dance the night away.
Dinner & toasts,
as always, brought forth laughter & the filling of cups, both emotionally & literally.
Finally, time to dance the night away.
Hilary changed into a jumpsuit & the vibes only grew as everyone took over Ainslie & had the best wedding Williamsburg’s ever known.
