that their elopement would reflect that. When they inquired with me about documenting their love legally in Brooklyn, then hopping on a flight to Italy for their vows, it was an immediate “how do we make this happen?” from me!
Icons of style, they got ready in a hotel in the heart of Varenna, with a loft, views of Lake Como, & all the character a vintage loving Brooklynite like me would want to see in an Italian inn.
Villa Monastero was selected for their personal vows.
It’s a gorgeous garden with statues, & florals all around, the perfect backdrop for this sweet, & intimate moment. We had some time before the gardens opened to them, though, so we took a swift walk around Varenna & were not disappointed by the scenery with which we were greeted.
Now, it was time for Villa Monastero.
Of course we had a little pit stop for espressos
inside the gardens. Then, it was time for a final lap around the luscious greens all around us.
Lindsey & Travis’s vows showcased the love
that was already so clear in their relationship through their dynamic. We decided to break for lunch after we were done at the gardens, then reunited in Piazza San Giorgio to showcase some more of their adventurous side… on a Vespa.
No doubt, a favorite moment of their elopement
was when a gentlemen opened up his second floor window after seeing the love birds, & played romantic music from his phone. Absolutely iconic.
After parking their Vespa, it was time for more walking & eating around one of Italy’s most beautiful towns.
With our gelatos finished, it was time for the iconic wooden boat ride around Lake Como.
I feel like when people think lake como they think open air wooden boat ride, so it was a dream come true to join Lindsey & Travis on this adventure, from Varenna to Bellagio, from homes featured in Star Wars to homes featured in Succession. With many laughs in between, of course.
Every element of this Lake Como elopement was a dream come true for me.
Especially getting to document it for the kindest, most authentic couple out there.
