Jenn & Calvin are my dream type of wedding couple to

work with. They are both from New York City originally, which is how they came to find my work as an Brooklyn based wedding photographer. They both are living in San Francisco now for work, so on my most recent trip to visit my in-laws in the bay area, we coordinated to do their engagement session in the new city they are making home together.

This does not fully answer why they are my dream couple though. On the surface, we align perfectly because of how similar our aesthetics are. When we met at San Francisco City Hall I nearly lost my mind over their timelessly chic attire. We stopped by their apartment towards the end of our session for an “in home” type of vibe, & they had the exact same vintage library lamp on their daystand by their couch that my husband & I have on our bedside tables (featured in some of the photos below). But, really, what makes them my dream couple is how effortlessly they laugh. How fiercely they love each other. How intentional they are in each portion of their wedding planning, to ensure their day authentically reflects them. That is *MY* type of couple.

I feel like these photos reflect all those aspects of them, & I hope you feel it too.
