Their love story started on an evening in Brooklyn that they never wanted to end. A date turned into a hours dancing the night away, immediately feeling overwhelmingly comfortable with one another. Capturing their love for their intimate elopement day showcased that comfortability & more, as they were overwhelmed with the joy of marrying each other. While they have family & friends all over the world, from Australia, to Bosnia, & more who they wanted to travel to in order to celebrate their wedding & love, they decided to have their legal ceremony & first celebration in Brooklyn – the place they found love & now call home together.
Keep reading to see tears shed during their first look & ceremony, laughter & cheersing amongst their families, & their romantic love captured throughout the streets of Brooklyn Heights & Cobble Hill.
After their perfect first look on their Brooklyn rooftop & a quick pitstop at their unit
for Ema’s veil, it was time to catch an Uber to Brooklyn Bridge Park where Ema’s family would be joining them all the way from Australia & Anthony’s from the neighboring state of New Jersey. As they jumped into the Uber, New Yorkers already began congratulating them on their union, which Anthony basked in, & continued to do so throughout our different commuting moments.
Following the reunions with family,
their officiant began a beautiful retelling of their love story, before giving them the platform to share their own personal vows that led to not one eye in earshot being dry — including mine.
Promptly after “You may now kiss” was declared, it was time to celebrate.
Champagne flowed & hugs never ended, then we flowed into some group photos of different variations of family members to ensure everyone is captured in this special day.
We parted ways with Ema & Anthony’s family to start on their couples portraits throughout
their favorite walk locations in Brooklyn Heights & Cobble Hill. It is always extra special to capture wedding portraits in locations that are nostalgic for the couple <3
Anthony continued to embrace the cheers of New Yorkers & it brought the biggest smiles to people’s faces.
Finally, it was time to celebrate with an incredible dinner at La Vara.
I was contracted to stay for just 15 minutes of celebrations at dinner, but wow what a special 15 minutes they were. Laughter of stories, looking at wedding bands, & imbibing on champagne… truly the perfect day.
Cheers to Ema & Anthony’s international love & their home in Brooklyn <3
