style was important to her. As a wedding photographer who started in the fashion world, I of course got super excited about this fact, & greatly anticipated the fashion & details on their wedding day. My high expectations were surpassed.
Charlotte modified the top of her wedding dress
to make it even more authentic to her sense of style. After their first look, Ryan agreed, she looked like an absolute Greek goddess.
Post first look, we took a few portraits, & also soaked in
those last few moments before officially becoming a married couple! From family photos, & laughter between combinations, gin martinis with the girls, to Sarah (Charlotte’s sister) helping her with her bouquet, & power posing before their walks down the aisle, there were so many lovely moments that will be remembered forever.
Their ceremony was short & sweet, yet emotionally powerful.
this photo right here is quite possibly my favorite ceremony photo I’ve ever documented. We see Ryan, as his breath is being taken away as Charlotte walks down the aisle. Despite already seeing her at the first look, this feeling of seeing your life long partner come down the aisle is unmatched. Then we view on the left, Charlotte’s grandfather beaming with absolute joy before officiating this special occasion. Finally, we see on the bottom right corner Ryan’s mom, looking up at her son as he is about to become a husband with so much pride. I was moved to tears while I edited this photo.
After declaring “I do”, the couple took a breather in their hotel room,
before reentering the Bar Blondeau space for formal dances, & mingling with their guests.
Toasts are always my favorite part of a wedding day
& Charlotte & Ryan’s wedding day was no different. Their loved ones delivered speeches that were entertaining & heartfelt, backdropped by the perfect city views & midday light.
Charlotte welcomed everyone to continue enjoying
cocktail hour energy, with an ever flowing open bar & incredible food. Many of their guests took a moment also to check out their vibe at the aura photographer booth, which was such a fun gift for them to take home!
Once 5pm started to settle in, it was time for a vibe switch.
We were gonna go from chic & elegant city couple, with a luncheon wedding, to chic disco energy, for their after party. After an outfit change & cake cutting in the hotel room, it was time for an entourage walk to the afterparty location.
June 15 held the after party of ALL after parties.
Their guests really know how to party, & the disco ball backdrop was the perfect setting for the photos of a lifetime.
