If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to be totally carefree
on your wedding day, look no further than Emily & Julian.
We started documenting their day on digital & film formats at their apartment in Williamsburg. Drinks were shared, dresses were put on, then we made our way to the rooftop for an intimate & sweet first look.
With Domino park in their neighborhood,
It only made perfect sense to Uber from their apartment to the waterfront for some couples portraits. Shortly thereafter, we found ourselves in Transmitter Park in Greenpoint, near their venue Radio Star. The reunions with family were sweet, before it was time to transition into formal group photos.
Restaurant weddings are always special in Brooklyn,
Because they provide a level of intimacy that is not always felt in the craziness of New York City. Glasserie’s Radio Star specifically has the perfect set up for a wedding – natural light pouring into the dining space, a backyard for the ceremony, & the best catering in the business.
The ceremony was heartfelt & joyful, leading into one of the funnest cocktail hours I’ve ever witnessed.
Manhattan was not disappointing us on this side of the East River,
as the sun set beautifully just in time for the couple to document a few more couples portraits before their reception.
Dinner was a masterpiece,
full of toasts that had the entire venue holding their stomachs from laughing so hard. As the night came to an end, Emily & Julian shared a private moment at Radio Star practicing their first dance, before joining the rest of their guests at the after party location, 21 Greenpoint.
