Let me start by saying that Madelyn & Gheorghe’s ENTIRE romantic wedding

really sets the standard. But I wanted to write this blog post to not just highlight their whole wedding, but their getting ready location in particular. It was a large Airbnb on the outskirts of Philadelphia which allowed their entire wedding party & families to get ready in one place.

There are always logistical pros to getting ready in the same location, but more than anything, they were intentional about choosing a space that felt like a cozy hug, a space that would be beautiful for photos around every corner. Which meant that whether it was a candid with their friends, getting their finishing touches done with their parents, or their first look, every moment was picturesque. It meant there was no need for us photographers to interrupt a moment to move to a different spot, so each moment was able to be real & documented beautifully. It is so easy for this to be overlooked, & all the intentionality to be put into the ceremony/reception venue, but getting ready venues can add such a class & coziness to your wedding day too.

Then it was time for their iconic first look on the grand staircase.

Throughout the rest of their wedding day there

were countless romantic moments between the couple as they hugged & adorned kisses on each others’ cheeks or scratched the other’s back. Their friends celebrated them to the max, with heartfelt encouragement before their ceremony, & hilarious speeches during the reception. Philadelphia is lucky to have such incredible people, with this romantic love.
